Wake Up! A news item quietly passed the wires late Friday night. The story is that Our President worked out an arrangement with the King of Saudi Arabia that 15,000 Saudi students will be coming to attend US Universities soon. Nice quiet little deal one king to another. When will you right wing kool-aid drinkers get it that our President just does not have a clue?
This man has GONE TO WAR with with a country that had Absolutely Nothing to do with 9/11. And now he wants to roll out the red carpet for "students" form the very country where 15 of the 19 Sept 11 terrorists came from!!!
Ask yourself...Will you feel safer knowing that 15,000, not 15, 15,000!!!Saudis will be welcomed into our universities?
What kind of background checks will there be? I'm sure the fine trustworthy Saudis wouldn't take this opportunity to jettison a few of malcontents would they? Why would they do anything against our best interest, they haven't in the past. Oh no, that's Our government's job, but IT IS BEING RUN BY A COMPLETE IDIOT!!!
Plus, shouldn't something of this magnitude be part of a treaty? No, No, King George did this all by himself, well with the consent of another king. Who's running our country? The Saudis? Who is watching out for us? Not this President.
This makes my blood boil. I am not one of those whacked out lefties who wants to hug the world into stopping wanting to kill us. I know what we are facing. When the towers feel I said it just like Tenet did. "Osama Bin Laden". I knew he was coming. They will come again. And why bother with all that pesky customs stuff when you can get our president to invite you in? This should at least take some of the sweat out of the border security question. What budding terrorist in his "right mind" would bother with a dicey Mexican to US transit when you can simply slip on a sport coat and matriculate?
We must not lose our resolve to meet our enemy wherever they are and can hunt them down. But we must fight Smart. Expending precious resources and God help us, lives on an ill conceived disaster like Iraq is unforgivable.Why he did this is to argued about in the future, if we have one.
What are we to think of this turn of events? Why? I can't question another man's soul at a distance. I don't know this man. And I don't know who could do better. I am however sure we could not do much worse.
